The Bedlam Name
The name Bedlam was chosen when I opened our B&B back in the 80's, intending to warn
our guests about our four young girls and the pandemonium they caused. The girls are
grown and off on their own but the name remains.
Nestled high on a hillside acre, a stone's throw from Scottsdale and Phoenix, our
5,000
square foot southwest territorial bed and breakfast inn home adjoins miles of virgin
desert with a horizon full of spectacular views of many mountain ranges. These include
the Mazatzals to the north, the 7000 foot high Four Peaks to the east, and the Superstition
Mountains to the south as well as close up views of the Sonoran desert with all the
abundant Arizona wildlife.
Meet The Carlsons
Hello, I'm your hostess Pam Carlson. My husband Tom and our Jack Russel terriers Lucky and
Prudence welcome you to Bedlam Bed and Breakfast.
Our home has been a long time dream and labor of love. I have designed and built
custom homes in Fountain Hills for the past 18 years and we love our life here in
Arizona.
Tom grew up on the west side of St. Paul, Minnesota. I grew up on a farm just outside
the town of Newport, twenty minutes south of the Twin Cities. We came to Arizona in
1986 where the weather was best for Tom's health.
Lucky The Wonder Dog
Our dog Lucky is the actual owner of the Bedlam B&B, or so he thinks.
He jealously guards the back yard, chasing away the quail or other birds that take a drink
from the pool or Koi pond. Oh yes, we also have a hot tub which can be heated upon
request.
Our other dog Prudence is more cautious. She peeks over the lookout bench trying to
spot rabbits or javelina trolling by at dusk, while the sun dances off the peaks and
mountains spreading rays of gold, pink and purple. The scene from our patio is a delight
for the eyes.
Escape to The Bedlam B&B. Make our Scottsdale and Phoenix area bed and breakfast
inn in Fountain Hills your home away from home for your Arizona adventures.
